Medical Assistant
We are currently seeking a full time Medical Assistant.
Job Summary: The Medical Assistant supports healthcare providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure quality patient care and smooth office operations. This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with examinations and procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.

Essential functions:
- Welcome and prepare patients for exams, recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed (within scope of practice).
- Manage patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Manage referrals, Prior Authorizations, and assist with insurance documentation.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Support front office tasks when needed, including answering phones and coordinating patient flow.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a care team.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
